Mowing and Trimming
Turf will be completely and evenly mowed with sharpened blades at a height most suitable for the species and the site's specific needs.
Pruning Shrubs
It is important to remember that pruning plants is a process, not an event. Each species has very specific pruning needs based on flower production and the growing season.
Edging
We will edge concrete borders such as walkways, curbs and driveways each mowing during the growing season. We use a mechanical steel blade edger.
Manual Weeding
Shrub beds, natural areas with mulch and ground cover areas will be weeded. We hand pull weeds within the canopy of shrubs or ground cover. We use selective herbicides for persistent weeds.
Fertilizing
We will follow the schedule under the applications section of your contract for your fertilization program. The species of your turfgrass will dictate the type and rate of fertilizer we apply on your lawn.
Integrated Pest Management
Mowing frequency, moving height, fertilization and irrigation affect weed control. Integrated pest management is followed to minimize the amount of pesticides used in your landscape and adhere to sound horticultural maintenance practices in order to keep our lawns healthy.
Mulching
Bark mulches and pine straw are the mulches of choice for ornamental shrub beds and natural areas in the Piedmont.
Core Aeration and Seeding
One time per year this process helps to bring air down to the roots of your lawn for healthy lawn development. Seeding is done in early fall.
Leaf Removal
Fall leaves could be mulched and then placed into beds or natural areas on your property for composing.
Clean up
All concrete surfaces, patios, decks and patio areas will be blown clean of debris from the landscape maintenance process.
Scheduling
We will prepare a schedule of tentative visits each month by following the contract schedule. We offer 7-day and 14-day rotations. We try to keep the day of the week consistent, with flexibility due to weather and holidays.
Personnel
Our typical lawn care crew consists of an account supervisor and one or more lawn care maintenance technicians. We try to keep the same people assigned to yoru property. We have a fleet of installation and maintenance crews.
